Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I use your melts in a tealight burner?

A: First, make sure you are using a good quality burner approved for use with wax melts! (If you need one, we also sell them!)

Break off a small amount of your melt (1-2 cubes of a snap bar!)

Place your burner in a stable position before lighting, ensuring it is safely out of reach of small fingers and furry four legged friends.  Take a standard sized tea light with a burn time of no more than 4 hours.  As tempting as it is please don’t use larger 8 hour tealights, these can burn too hot causing the fragrance scent in the melt to burn off and cause the burner to over heat risking a fire hazard in your home.

Light your tealight and place in the burner adding a cube of your wax melt then sit back and enjoy the beautiful aromas. When you extinguish your tea light the burner and wax will still be very hot.  The wax will set hard as it cools, and only then should you move it if required.

Wax melts retain their fragrance and can be re-used on numerous occasions lasting up to 16 hours . Once the wax starts to loose it’s scent you can remove and replace with a  fresh wax melt.

Q: I have an electric burner, is this ok?

A: Absolutely fine! Just ensure the burner is approved for wax melts and follow the safety guidance with the product you have.  As with wax melt burners, ensure the wax and burner have fully cooled before moving it!

If your burner has an automatic shut off, ensure you use it, or remember to switch the burner off before leaving it unattended!

Q: How many times can I use a melt before I have to change it?

A: Wax melts can be reused.  Normally each cube will last up to 16 hours.  Once the wax melt starts to lose its scent simply remove and replace with a fresh wax melt.

Q: How do I remove used melts from the burner?

A: After extinguishing the tealight or switching off the electric burner, the wax will be very hot so avoid touching it or trying to move it.  It’s best to remove the melt after it has set.  A quick and simple way to do this is to light a tealight in the burner for approx 30 seconds.  This will be enough to start the melting process but not enough for the wax to become hot.  Extinguish the tealight and using a spoon, you will be able to easily pry the wax out of the burner, then using clean tissue wipe away any excess.  Do not use any cleaning products on the burner that may be flammable or affect the wax.
